We are looking for a Head of Social Sustainability to lead the social sustainability efforts across Southern England and Southern Wales. Reporting to the Social Sustainability Director, you'll play a key role in helping our UK & Ireland Division achieve 35% social value against revenue by 2026. - Lead delivery of the social element of the sustainability strategy, aiming for 35% social value by 2026. - Manage a team of social sustainability specialists across Southern England and Southern Wales. - Act as the primary contact for business segments seeking social sustainability expertise. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (D&I, L&D, Procurement, Operations) to drive alignment and identify opportunities. - Influence clients, government, and industry stakeholders on social sustainability practices. - Drive cultural change and embed social sustainability principles across the organization and supply chain. - Lead strategic work-winning activities and contribute to thought leadership. - Standardise processes and develop resources to improve efficiency and accessibility. - Develop national programs on Social Inclusion, Social Mobility, and the Foundational Economy. - Provide training to increase social sustainability knowledge across the team. - Monitor performance and produce regular reports for management teams. - Extensive experience in social sustainability, social value, and community development. - Strong communication and relationship-building skills. - Proven ability to manage teams and drive change across business segments. - Experience in working with senior stakeholders across public and private sectors. - Commercially aware, with a deep understanding of social sustainability policies and practices. - Expertise in social value measurement models and frameworks. - Background in a successful bidding/work-winning environment. - Motivated, with the ability to inspire and lead colleagues. - Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
Sustainability Advisor
Supply Chain Ethics - London/Birmingham/Derby/Slough
Join our team as a Sustainability Advisor, Supply Chain Ethics, where you'll play a key role in advancing human rights and sustainability across our supply chain. **What you'll be doing:** - **Support Procurement Team:** Serve as the primary contact for procurement professionals, offering expert guidance on Human Rights matters. Deliver training for procurement teams and supply chain partners to ensure compliance with Human Rights standards. Work with procurement and supply chain teams to develop strategies addressing human rights risks and enhance compliance with modern slavery and human rights standards. Oversee the supply chain audit programme, developing annual plans and identifying areas for improvement. Analyse data from audits and projects to identify risks, opportunities, and trends. Measure the effectiveness of human rights initiatives and report on progress towards targets. Provide data and insights to support the creation of the Modern Slavery Statement. Assist in developing processes to manage supply chain risks related to Human Rights. Monitor supplier compliance with human rights standards and escalate issues when necessary. - Strong understanding of supply chain risks and the ability to navigate complex supply chains. - Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights. - Effective communicator at all levels of the organisation. - A passion for upskilling others and fostering collaboration. - Self-starter with the ability to influence and drive change. - Experience with ethical audits is preferred, but training will be provided. - Flexible working options, including up to 40% remote work. - 25 days of paid annual leave (pro rata). - Family-friendly policies, including generous maternity and paternity leave. - Pension, share incentive plan, volunteering leave, and more.
